Cadre: Resident’s New Collaboration with ASCA

Resident is pleased to present the Cadre Chair and Cadre Stool by Copenhagen-based studio ASCA. Marking ASCA’s first collaboration with the brand, the collection introduces a refined new language to Resident’s evolving portfolio, one grounded in clarity, material honesty, and enduring form.

Cadre is defined by its architectural approach. Each piece is composed with a considered restraint, where structure becomes both framework and expression. The silhouettes are pared back yet purposeful, with a graphic presence that holds attention without excess. Proportion and balance sit at the forefront, allowing the designs to move effortlessly between residential and commercial settings.

At the core of the collection is a quiet exploration of contrast. Linear elements are softened by subtle curvature, while strength is offset by a sense of lightness. The result is seating that feels both precise and inviting. Every detail has been resolved with intent, from junctions and transitions to the tactility of the surfaces.

ASCA’s design methodology is evident throughout. Their sensitivity to context and commitment to longevity aligns closely with Resident’s own philosophy. Together, the collaboration reflects a shared belief in furniture that is built to last, not only in construction, but in relevance.

The Cadre Chair and Cadre Stool extend beyond function to become part of a wider spatial narrative. They are pieces that support daily use while contributing to the atmosphere of a room, offering a composed presence that endures over time.
