One of Us: Jackie Snowden

In our latest One of Us, we catch up with District's Residential Sales Consultant, Jackie Snowden, to talk personal favourites, design that stands the test of time and the stories that make certain pieces all the more interesting.

What District product would you put in your own home?

The Foundry Coffee and Console Tables by Nonn. I love their brutalist feel, softened by the rounded edges that balance the hardness of the aluminium. They're designed to age naturally, embracing the marks and patina that come with everyday living. There's something beautiful about furniture you don't have to be too precious with, especially when you have kids in the equation.

What District product would you put in someone else's home?

Anything by Giopato & Coombes. Their lighting feels like jewellery for the home. Sculptural, delicate and full of character. I love how every collection has its own story.

Maehwa feels like the Chanel of the range: timeless, iconic and effortlessly elegant. Bruma, on the other hand, reminds me of falling rain, with a softness and movement that feels so peaceful.

What's your favourite District product story?

The Experiment Chair. It’s an 80s icon that Hem had the privilege of working alongside Yrjö Kukkapuro (RIP 🤍) to reintroduce to a new generation. My favourite part of the story is that Hem kept the original pops of colour, which all have a reason behind their use: red symbolising fire, green representing trees, and blue denoting waves on a lake.
