Simon Legald’s designs for modern life
Simon Legald’s work balances craftsmanship with industry, bringing everyday objects back to their honest essentials. Since graduating from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2012, he has created some of Normann Copenhagen’s most recognisable designs, including the sculptural Bit Stool, the portable Porta Lamp, and the versatile Form Chair.
His approach is clear: let structure show, keep details purposeful and design pieces that feel good to use and easy to understand. Simplicity and honesty shape everything he makes , practical, playful and built to live with.
