Rounded oak barstool from the Hyg collection, in counter and bar heights

Hyg Stool Wood carries the same rounded, moulded shell as the rest of the Hyg lounge and dining range, set here on solid oak legs at counter or bar height. The seat wraps gently around the body while the timber legs bring a warmer, more grounded feel than the steel-legged version, so the stool suits a kitchen island or a home bar without looking out of place in a softer, more relaxed interior.

Simon Legald designed the Hyg family around the idea of hygge, and the barstool joined the collection in 2020 to bring that same sense of comfort to bar-height seating. Choose from a range of shell colours paired with oak or black oak legs to suit almost any interior.

Simon Legald

Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small and large scale products. Simon’s designs are often created in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. He also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually.
