District goes to 3daysofdesign
Each June, Copenhagen slows down. For three days, the city becomes a distributed showroom, with doors open, designers on hand and new work on show across galleries, studios and historic spaces. This year felt less about bold statements and more about considered ones, collections refined, materials explored further and ideas given room to breathe. We spent the week moving between exhibitions, taking note of what's new from our brands. Here's a look back at what they showed.

FOGIA

Fogia introduced several new pieces, including the relaunched BD1 Lounge Chair by Björn Dahlström. First shown in Milan over 30 years ago, the chair returns with a refined internal structure, a softer seat and new oak legs. Also new: the Cube Vase Tall, a hand-blown glass piece by Carina Seth Andersson, and the Bollo Lounge Chair, CPH Edition 2026, marking the chair's 10-year anniversary in long-haired sheepskin and brushed steel.

LOUISE ROE

Under the theme "Stay a Little Longer," Louise Roe Gallery became an extension of The Roe Bar, a social interior built around hosting and shared dining. New pieces took centre stage, including the Frankie Café Chair and Table and The Person Glass Lamp. A second installation at the Louise Roe Studio, "Between Courses," presented the Frankie Frame Series and Privé Room Divider in a staged dining scene visible from the street.

RESIDENT

Alongside the "Room for Resonance" installation, Resident introduced the new Avant Lounge Chair, designed in collaboration with Stockholm-based studio NOTE. Defined by a bold timber base and distinctive overhanging arms, Avant offers a deep, enveloping seat suited to reading corners, living spaces or lobbies, bringing both personality and quiet poise to any room.

HEM

Hem's new piece for 3 Days of Design was the Min Chair by Max Lamb, previously known as the Economy Chair. Built from pinewood panels cut at precise angles for near-zero waste, it marks the latest in Lamb and Hem's decade-long collaboration. The presentation also featured a U-shaped configuration of the modular Palo Block Sofa in pink tartan, and the Boa Pouf by Sabine Marcelis in a new dove blue finish.

MASSPRODUCTIONS

Massproductions unveiled the Astro Armchair, expanding on its earlier club chair with steel tube rings that form an external frame around a fully webbed seat and back. The design replaces large volumes of foam and fabric with a lighter, more sculptural form, available with or without castors. Alongside it, a new collaboration with LAYERED, Industrial Choreography, translated the craft of weaving into a spatial installation, with huge spinning pillars clad in yarn from the brands' new Cord Collection.

NORMANN COPENHAGEN

"The Grid" took over the brand's HQ showroom across multiple floors, with the grid explored as a spatial language through repetition, pattern and formation. Alongside the exhibition came a wave of new releases: the reissue of Niels Bendtsen's Limit Lounge Chair, first designed in 1974 with a no-waste, materials-conscious approach; Pap Bookcase, an ultraminimal modular shelving concept made from discarded cartons; new additions to the Rope Sofa and Bit Stool collections; and a series of sculptural accessories exploring materiality, geometry and form.

NEW WORKS

For 3 Days of Design 2026, New Works presented "Meditations in an Emergency," an exhibition exploring the space between external noise and inner stillness. A sequence of composed interiors unfolded room by room, guided by atmosphere, rhythm and light, with each space encouraging visitors to slow down and spend time within it.

Alongside the exhibition, New Works introduced several new pieces: the Rand Side Table, a new round version of the Atlas Stool, and the Nebra Table Lamp and Floor Lamp.
