Resident's first product to launch and now an iconic recognised design staple, Spar is a large cantilevered floor light that takes inspiration from the mast arrangements of classic sailing boats.

Spar was Resident's first product. Designed by Jamie McLellan, it is a large cantilevered floor lamp that takes inspiration from the mast arrangements of classic sailing boats.

Its simple two-dimensional silhouette relies on a tensioned electrical cable for support. The spun aluminium shade rotates 360 degrees, so the light can be directed where it is needed.
