Product you would put at home:
As I am expecting my first baby in a little over a month, I have spent this time investing in the spaces in my home that I will undoubtedly spend the most time in. The presentation from Kvadrat earlier in the year when they showcased their new rug collection, I instantly fell in love with the Yield Dot and had to get one made for home. It looks lovely in my living room, especially now that it's cooled down, and we find ourselves sitting around on the rug, cosied up to the fire. It is such a welcome addition.
Product you would put in someone else's home:
I recently gifted the Blaehr vase to a friend and I think it was the most exquisite present. The intricate detail of the hand-blown glass makes it such a unique shape, I love knowing that because of the technique used by New Works and the way the hot glass is pushed and pulled the irregular form is created, It always feels extra special to gift something unique.
Favourite District product story:
Giopato & Coombes is one of the brands I was instantly drawn to when I started working at District. The story behind the Bruma collection and how these lights are representative of the morning mist over a body of water on a wintery day is such a romantic tale. I especially love that the team behind the brand experimented with sugar to decide on the shapes and configurations they were going to present to the market.
