Mat Chair – Through The Lens Of – Mareike

Mat Chair – Through The Lens Of – Mareike

Following the launch of the Mat Chair, a design rooted in material innovation, we invited inspiring creatives to capture the chair through their lens. "Through The Lens Of" is a visual interpretation of the Mat Chair collection, seen through the eyes of our creative community.

MAREIKE FROM STUTTGART

Mareike, a German business developer from Stuttgart, enjoys exploring analog photography, using architecture, travel and her home as subjects. Despite her analytical career, Mareike began sharing her photography on Instagram via @studio.hanoi during the pandemic while settling into her new apartment, blending her passions for design, travel, and photography.

“The Mat Chair instantly captivated me with its aesthetic and sustainable concept. I was especially drawn to the seaweed edition, as it reminds me of my roots growing up in a small town on the North Sea coast of Northern Germany.”

“Inspired by the campaign showcasing the Mat Chair in various outdoor settings, I decided to photograph it around Stuttgart, near my apartment. I captured it in the beautiful vineyards and outside the renowned John Cranko Ballet School, highlighting its natural fibers against the backdrop of minimalist architecture.”
